For night shift it is any combination of Fri/Sat nights and for day shift it is Sat/Sun.Requirements:
  • CA License
  • 2+ years of CVPICU/CTICU experience
  • PEDS Cardiac experience
  • Heart transplant experience
  • Previous children's hospital/cardiac experience
  • Experience in: Ventilators, multiple monitors, and EKG interpretation
  • Must--be cardiac trained
  • BLS
  • PALSOther details:
    • Flu shot required
    • Willing to float between units
    • Traveler could be floated to every unit except OR, PACU and ED

The units include PICU, NICU, medical, surgical, hem/onc, medical behavioral unit.--Shifts: (discussed in interview)--- 3x12 variable or straight night shifts, 36x48 available--- Weekend Requirements: 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule. For night shift it is any combination of Fri/Sat nights and for day shift it is Sat/Sun.--- 13 week contractsRequested Time Off:6 days total (must still get 3 shifts in week)Must be available to work 2 out of 3 holidays (contract can't end before New Years)*Self scheduling!Ratio:1:1-2Unit Summary: 30-37 beds. Seeing post op cardiac surgical care, cardiology patients, complex congenital patients, acquired heart disease patients, heart transplantation, VAD's and ECMO. Functions at the Standard Level of nursing practice.
