Job Description:

** Must be CPCS Certified **

We have an immediate (Temporary to start, permanent placement is based on performance) need for a qualified and committed Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist responsible for performing credentialing activities in accordance with Joint Commission accreditation standards, state and federal regulatory requirements.

As a valued member of the team, core responsibilities include:

? Involvement in initial credentialing, reappointments, CME functions, ED call schedule, committee/department meeting support, monitoring and updating expirables

? Maintain current knowledge of Joint Commission accreditation standards, State and Federal regulatory requirements

? Support assigned Departments/Committee, including scheduling, preparing agenda, completion of minutes, and follow-up.

? Prepare reports for Departments, Divisions, Committees, and the Board of Directors

? Provide quality and ethical customer service to all practitioners, patients, other hospital departments, medical group liaisons, and other hospital entities.

? Other various administrative tasks as assigned

Qualifications / Knowledge needed:

? CPCS or CPMS Certified

? High School Diploma

? 3-5 years Medical Staff experience

? Knowledge of Joint Commission standards and regulatory requirements

? Ability to use hospital data system to capture various reports as necessary

? Excellent organizational, time management, and multi-tasking abilities

? Ability to communicate effectively

? Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
