  • Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Cardiac rule out, low heart score, low level surgical, abd pain.
  • Nurse Patient Ratios: DAYS - 1:5-6 NIGHTS - 1:6-7
  • # of Beds: 15
  • Experience: Same as med surg. Mostly medical- Pneumonia, COPD, Radiation pts, AKI, occasional lap chole, appy, etc.
    • Job Requirements
    • Active and in hand - AZ or Compact License
    • EPIC experience required
    • Certifications must be accurate and up to date
      • Schedule Information
      • Start dates are not flexible.
      • Shifts: 6:45-7:15
      • Weekend Requirement: 4 shifts in 4 week period
      • Holiday Requirement: 2 of 5 holidays (this counts the eves)
      • Floating Requirements: Med Surg towers
      • How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation: One NEO, one day clinical/EPIC, one day on floor.

        • Charge nurse is shared with the ED
        • Have a 24/7 midlevel assigned to this unit
        • PCA: 2 per shift
        • Tele on the unit; RN needs to read, do have centralized monitoring
          • Additional Details
          • BLS required; ACLS preferred
          • Radius Rule: 100 miles
          • Submission Profile Requirements: Must be in the profile or cannot move forward with submittal.
          • Resume must include: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, and trauma level (if applicable) for each hospital.
          • Explain any employment gaps upon submission.
