  • Hospital in Southern Arizona is looking for RNs to complete a 13 week assignment on their Med Surg/Tele Tower 2 unit.
  • The right candidates will have 3+ years of experience and have an active BLS.

    • 3+ years of experience
    • Active BLS certification
    • PCU/Stepdown/Tele Experience on this unit
      • Schedule Information
      • 6:45-7:15a, charge to make schedule to balance unit needs, will take travelers requests into consideration.
      • Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend days per month
      • Days: Saturday, Sunday
      • Nights: Friday, Saturday, Sunday
      • Holiday Requirement: 3/5 holidays
      • Low Census for full or partial day
        • Unit Specific Information
        • This unit has cardiac focus.
        • Are RNs required to titrate drips? Yes
        • Common titratable &/or set rate drips: amiodarone, cardizem, dobutamine, dopamine, heparin, start nitro, insulin
        • Are there tele/monitor techs on this unit? Yes
          • Additional Details
          • ACLS, BLS, NIHSS - AHA or APEX; 3/10 START DATE
          • Start dates are not flexible.
          • NURSE PATIENT RATIOS: DAYS - 1:4 NIGHTS - 1:5
          • Common diagnoses/Types of patients: CHF, NSTEMI, MI, heart block, pacer, TAVR, CABG day 2, recovers cath pts after sheath is pulled, Watchman, bradycardia, VT, general PCU overflow: respiratory failure, low BPs, low hemoglobin, sepsis, post surgical, etc.
          • Travelers must have experience with all drips below
          • Charge- free of assignment, try to avoid giving an assignment (could take a couple patients on very rare occasion)
          • PCA-8-12 per person, potentially less
          • Tele on this unit, Travelers need to read tele, however there is a dedicated monitor tech as well
