Software Engineer - On-Device Core Telemetry PlatformSan Diego, California, United States Software and ServicesDescriptionWe're looking for a motivated engineer with excellent programming, problem solving and communication skills. In this role, you will be working on design and development of an on-device platform for efficient data collection across all platforms. This includes logging infrastructure to model energy usage, performance and server impact of different apps and software services. To be successful in this role, you must have a solid foundation in software design/architecture coupled with good system understanding and excellent debug/triage skills.Minimum Qualifications

• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
• Strong coding skills, preferably in C/C++/Objective C
• Strong analytical thinking to solve challenging problemsPreferred Qualifications
  • Experience with development on embedded platforms
  • Good understanding of operating system conceptsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 and $250,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
