  • Ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, and directed and that all production times are being met in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with all government regulatory agencies' standards (e.g., FDA, USDA, OSHA, SQF, EPA, DOT, HACCP).
  • Document and follow up on all department processes to implement improvements.
  • Collaborate with the ERP team and become an expert on ERP systems within the Production Department.
  • Manage productivity hours and costs; initiate and steer corrective actions in case of deviations.
  • Participate and support company-sponsored initiatives such as Quality, HACCP, SQF, Lean Manufacturing, Employee Safety, and Production systems.
  • Ensure department utilization of ERP systems and achieve department Productivity, Quality, and Safety goals.
  • Drive continuous improvement utilizing lean manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure on-time and accurate production daily (JIT).
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all safety and labor regulations.
  • Responsible for maintaining a qualified and productive staff to meet performance expectations.Requirements and ConditionsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.     • Strong Customer Service commitment.
    • In-depth knowledge of Food manufacturing & processing.
    • Ability to manage production lines with hands-on, on-the-floor management style.
    • Able to resolve operational problems related to projects and minimize delays or unexpected cost increases.
    • Demonstrated attention to detail and follow-through in all areas of responsibility.Education and/or Experience
      • Bachelor's degree preferable but not required.
      • 5+ years' demonstrated manufacturing & processing supervisory experience.
      • Knowledge of current management and supervisory techniques.Certificates/ Licenses/ Registrations
        • HACCP Certified required.
        • Food Manager Safety Training.Skills Required
          • Ability to read, write, and speak English satisfactorily.
          • Bi-lingual English/Spanish highly desirable.
          • Strong leadership and communication skills.
          • Proactive, resourceful & highly motivated with good communication skills.Physical Demands and Work ConditionsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
