a Director of Learning and Development to join our L&OD team in
San Diego, CA.The Director, Learning & Organizational Development
will be a strategic thought leader, focused on creating and
delivering high-impact talent solutions across the enterprise. This
member of the HR leadership team will be called on to think through
some of our leaders' most difficult and strategic talent challenges
and develop programs to assess, strengthen and reward teams. The
Director, Learning & Organizational Development will create and
execute a department roadmap and be an influential leader that
partners across the enterprise to identify and implement internal
and external best practices that service the strategic needs of our
businesses. In addition, in consultation with executive management,
this leader will develop and implement current, annual and
long-term business and financial objectives for the training
function and consult on the development of annual and long-term
objectives to support our client organizations.DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIESTalent Management:
- Facilitate and improve key processes related to goal-setting,
talent planning, performance management, etc. and drive outcomes
from these processes to deliver on organizational objectives.
- Oversee the development and deployment of all internal
training.
- Provide coaching, facilitation, team development, leadership
assessment and organization development services to implement
company initiatives and enhance company performance.
- Oversee the implementation and utilization of a Learning
Management System (Cornerstone); the development, design, and
implementation of company learning and leadership programs and
organizational development initiatives.
- Design solutions that preserve the unique operating company
cultures, working closely with the business to improve feedback and
an increase focus on development.
- Direct the execution of all talent processes in partnership
with HR Business Partners.Culture & Engagement:
- Partner with HR Business Partners to lead the employee
engagement strategy and survey processes.
- Leverage survey insights to identify strategies that support
employee engagement and partner with HR Business Partners to drive
meaningful actions via a robust continuous improvement planning
process.
- Clarify and strengthen operating unit and enterprise-wide
culture.Change Management & Organizational Design:
- Actively collaborate with HR Business Partners and provide
expertise on change management and or design processes associated
with organization changes and interventions.
- Consult with HR Business Partners and business unit leaders on
large-scale change planning and execution.
- Develop & implement change management and organizational design
initiatives.Team Leadership:
- Provide day-to-day management and direction to the L&OD
team, cultivating strong collaboration and teamwork.
- Manage the professional development of team members through
skill development, formal and informal coaching, growth
assignments, and performance feedback.
- Provide guidance and support to ensure the team develops and
manages effective cross-functional relationships in a
multi-stakeholder environment.
- Work collaboratively with leaders of the HR Centers of
Excellence (e.g., Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits, HR
Employee Center) and HR Business Partner Organization.We recognize

- Typically requires a bachelor's degree in business
administration or a related discipline and fifteen or more years of
progressive human resources professional experience or a master's
degree and thirteen or more years of human resources professional
experience. Additional professional experience or formal training
in human resources may be substituted in lieu of education.
- Must have at least nine years of experience in leading an
OD/Training organization and or directly related experience in a
similar capacity.
- Master's degree is strongly preferred.
- Proven track record within a reputable multinational
organization.
- Ability to lead a team and be a strong people leader.
- Strong client orientation combined with a proven record of
excellent program/project management and stakeholder
management.
- Consultative and analytical mindset, with the ability to
navigate a vast diverse and complex landscape.
- Strong background in talent management across a complex and
global organization.
- Desire to embrace both quantitative and qualitative
data/analysis to drive decision-making.
- Exceptional interpersonal and public speaking skills to
influence and guide all levels of employees.
- US Citizenship is required.Salary: $155,370 - $289,320
