Job Description:
A company is looking for an Authorization Specialist (Remote -
WI & MI residents only).
Key Responsibilities
Verify patient insurance eligibility and coverage
Secure third-party payer authorization for services
Assist in patient-facing responsibilities within a medical business
office
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
Minimum of two years' experience in a medical business office or
healthcare setting
Preferred completion of post-secondary courses in Medical
Terminology, CPT Coding, and Anatomy & Physiology
Graduate of a Medical Assistant, Health Unit Coordinator, or Health
Care Business Service program is preferred
No specific certifications or licenses required
Education must be from an accredited institution recognized by the
Council for Higher Education and Accreditation
